Cpharm in Afghanistan to produce Afghan Marijuana, Hashish, Weed

A foreign company called (Cpharm) in agreement with the Taliban-led government, is building a hashish processing plant in the country.

The company wants to set up a cannabis processing and packaging plant in Afghanistan.

Talks with the company on the establishment of the plant have concluded and practical work on the project will begin soon. Hundreds of people will get work opportunities on the project.

A Cpharm representative said hashish is currently grown on 10,000 acres of land in Afghanistan. The company needs the hashish crop on 15,000 acres of land.

Under the previous government, the sale and trafficking of hashish as a drug was illegal in the country, and hundreds of people were imprisoned for smuggling it.

The Taliban also promised to reduce drug production, including hashish, to zero after regaining control of Afghanistan.
