The Islamic Emirate banned poppy cultivation and drug production in the country
Maulvi Hebatullah Akhundzadeh, the leader of the Islamic Emirate, in a decree today, banned poppy cultivation and drug production throughout the country.
This decree was announced today in a press conference at the Ministry of Interior. It is stated in the decree that the cultivation of drugs in the country is prohibited from the date of issuance of this decree.
It is said in the decree that from now on no one will be allowed to cultivate drugs in the country. In addition to the prohibition of poppy cultivation, it is stated in the decree that the use, smuggling and buying and selling of any narcotic substances is prohibited.
It is emphasized in a part of the decree: “Using and transferring, buying and selling, importing and exporting and factories producing any narcotic substances – wine, heroin, glass, K tablets, marijuana – are strictly prohibited.”
The Islamic Emirate has said that if anyone acts against this order, he will be dealt with legally.
Abdul Salam Hanafi, the deputy head of the ministry, by announcing this decree, asked the international community to cooperate with the Islamic Emirate in the field of treating drug addicts and providing alternative cultivation to farmers.
