Job insecurity; Afghan journalists working as peddlers

Hasib Yousefi, an employee of a private media outlet, now sells on the streets of Kabul. He says he has worked in various sections of the Afghan media for more than 15 years, but is now forced to sell fruit on the streets of Kabul due to poverty.

With the establishment of the Islamic Emirate, dozens of active media outlets in Afghanistan have stopped publishing due to economic challenges, and a large number of their employees are in a state of disarray.
